Default Can My Auto Insurer Cover My Car if I Only Have Liability

    I am in California.

I front ended someone on the freeway. (My fault.) Should/Could my insurer cover the costs to repair my car? I have Farmers, and despite being their customer for 5+ years, I'm getting nothing. Unfortunately, I only have a liability policy with them, which I have been meaning to upgrade.

Car's damaged from the front. Needs new hood, front grill, fenders, lights, possibly a new radiator and fan, but chassis is okay. I am so broke, I save nothing after every pay check. Damage is approximately $4,000 to $7000 I'd assume.

if you only have liability, why would you think they have any obligation to pay for the damages to your vehicle? If you wanted collision coverage, you should have purchased it. You allude to that fact yourself in your post.
