My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Washington.
I have been asked to leave my Company as part of an Reduction in force (RIF). They have given me the choice of leaving with the RIF and receiving 3 weeks severence or agreent to a mutual separation and 5 weeks of servence. How does the company benefit from the later? What are the pros and cons of each for me?
In addition, tomorrow is my last day and they will give me papers then, what are my rights as to time frame for looking over documents before signing?
