    Default Shoplifting in Michigan

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

I was recently caught shoplifting today. I knew someone was following me so i decided to play if off and buy something but it didn't work. I was asked to leave the store and never come back. No name or any info was taken down. No police or anything.I also payed for my merchandise with my rewards card so can they look my info up. Will anything happen?? Will they send me a civil demand, or will i have to go to court or am i off the off ??

Most likely nothing will happen unless you ignore their instruction not to go back to the store, in which case they may try to prosecute you for trespassing.

If they were going to do anything they would have taken your picture, all your personal info, made you sign something etc or just called the Police.

I would avoid that store for a while though unless you want trespassing charges.
