    Default Caught Shoplifting at Sears

My question involves criminal law for the state of: chicago

i am so scared this happened 2 hours ago i didnt mean it i have never done this before i kept crying the whole time i have been under so much financial pressure, i was stopped just ourside sears after i had shoplifted arround 180$ worth of merchendise all for my family they took me down the security room checked my bags and took everything back after they checked the price they made me sign a paper i think it says that i did shoplift and am not allowed to that sears store again, then they called their manager who decided to let me go.
they security people said that we need your address and a copy of your id andi gave it to them
also they told me that no police will be involved and that they have my number if they need me
MY Question is: i am not from the country i was visiting and i just need to know what am i facing would they report me to the po;lice? i will be leaving soon but should i be afraid to come back and visit? i dont want to find out that am wabted in the airport specially that i come too much like every 2 months i visit
and should i call them to check? i dont know what to do polease help me i am afraid that i will be discharged from my job as well if my company finds out
my other question is they told me that no letter or fine will be sent to you because the merchindise were not ruined however sine am not from the country if they cant reach me what will they do? because when i asked him he said dont worry we wont contact you and thats just incase procedure!
i am afraid that if they couldnt contact me they will sue !!!

If they decided at the time not to notify the police, it's unlikely that they changed their mind afterward. I don't think that contacting them would change their decision favorably, and you apparently already have a favorable outcome, so I personally wouldn't call. If they get a civil demand, pay it. If you move before it comes, make sure you have a mail forwarding order in effect or update them on your address.

can i email them with my address? am scared if i dont and they want to send me some letter they will sue me since no p.o box is given???
they said dont give us a p.o box you wont be contacted cuz none of the stuff was messed up, we have your number if they need you they wil call you, what does that mean?
