I highly recommend attending a court session PRIOR to yours. Call the Clerk and ask for the "contested hearing" schedule. And yes, every jurisdiction is different, but, normally the prosecution goes first and then you present your defense.
If, however, you're going to object to the admission of evidence, you MUST do that when the prosecutor presents it. Failure to voice a timely objection is deemed a waiver of the objection.
