My question involves police conduct in the State of: California.
My truck was stolen and my home was robbed by a group of individuals known for home invasions. My truck was recovered but the person driving it was allowed to unload all my stolen property into an undercover police car and taken home, Two other individuals were arrested in another stolen vehicle with some of my stolen property in it. Both of them were released and have no charges filed on them. The main person is a paid police informant and has an outstanding warrant in the state of Oregon, however, in California, he is allowed to continue to do home invasions and break other laws with no consequence. Are there any guidelines on informant behavior or the rights of victims of police informants? I continue to be harassed by these individuals and the Police do nothing. There were 2 people that came forward and told the Police (the same day I was robbed) where my stolen items were but the Police didn't follow up. What are my rights as the victim when the Police refuse to act because these people are apparently more valuable out on the street than paying for their crimes against me?
