My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Sisters (A lives in NC/ sister B in TN) agree to rent to Sisters Bs daughter and family. They went over lease with daughter and husband and explained and agreed to everything. Lease has ran out and sister Bs daughter still there but not paying rent. Sisters Bs daughter has not paid rent in 12 months. Sister A wants to evict and calls attorney who informed her she can't evict without Sisters Bs agreeance.
So what can Sister A do? UTilities were cut of AUG 14 by tenant, but noone called Sister A and told her. House has mold and mildew and their belongings are trashed all over the house along with rotten food, animal urine ect... House is a wreck.
House used to belong to Sisters Mother who is turning summer souts in her grave right now.
What can Sister A do? IS this abandonment?
