    Default What should I say?

    Making a long story short:
After I went to the court for shoplifting, I got 10 hours of community service and a course to do.

I did the course and I still have the community service somewhere. I am so embarrassed to tell that I am doing the service for shoplifting.
I thought I can say it is for a traffic ticket. can a church or a community center or a public library know or check to see why I am doing the service work??

Should I say that or should I tell them that I prefer not to say???

Help, please, because I want to go over that whole story without any more damages.
I live in a small city and people talk all the time, I don't need to be ashamed all my life.

    Thanks

I think it's between you and the court, you could tell them it's for a minor infraction.

    Thanks PaulE,

I have been shopping for a place to do the service work, but many of them appologized already and that's why I am thinking not to tell why or even to tell them it is for a traffic ticket.
