Default Petition Filed, No Response from Court

I FILED A PETITION WITH THE COURT AND IT'S BEEN OVER 30 DAY'S SINCE FILING....HOW LONG SHOULD A DECISION/RESPONSE TAKE?

WHAT CAN BE DONE WHEN PETITIONS ARE BEING IGNORED?

Has the petition been legally served on the other party?

If so, and it's been over 20 days since service you can file for a default, which will allow a hearing date to be set without the other party's response being filed.

You can find the default motion and your local self-help center at: www.flcourts.org

YES, ACTUALLY A DELIGENT SEARCH WAS DONE TO LOCATE THE OTHER PARTY, A DEFAULT HAS BEEN ENTERED AGAINST THAT PARTY BY THE COURT. AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS AND A CERIFIED LETTER REQUESTING A HEARING DATE...THE CASE WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE JUVENULE COURT( Were it could not be heard) I HAVE YET TO HAVE A DATE SCHEDULED SO, I FINALLY DECIDED TO PETITION THE COURT TO TRANSFER THE CASE BACK TO A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION AND SCHEDULE A HEARING DATE.

    WHAT ELSE CAN I DO??
