Michigan Possession of Mariujana

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

Last night I was riding with some friends who had some marijuana on them i smoked some with them then on the way home we were pulled over and searched. As they asked me out of the car they found marijuana on the floor by me. I did not have anything on me and that was not my pot. Another kid had been sitting in the seat before me i slid across when he got out. The police were telling me it was mine and the other 2 kids in the car said it was mine but he just wanted to hear me say it was mine. He handcuffed me and put me in the back of the car repeatedly trying to get my to say it was mine. But I told him it was not and that some one else had sat on that side of the car before me he said I was lying and that i would be charged with possession.

I was curious can I be charged for that? I was issued a ticket for Possession of Marijuana. This is my second offense although my first was when I was 16. the lady I saw took it off my record.

I also was wondering what charges this could lead to. I have had 2 MIP of alcohol charges along with a domestic A&B and a retail fraud I have completed everything for those charges.

You can be charged with possession and, as you state, you were charged with possession.

You're racking up quite the stack of misdemeanor convictions. I suggest that you get help from a criminal defense lawyer. You can talk to your lawyer about taking a drug test to demonstrate that you're not a pot smoker... except it will be dirty, won't it....

nope I smoked for the first time in like 1 month so it should be clean.
