Default When Can Your Wife Get Alimony

My question involves divorce in the State of: Ohio.
My soon to be ex. has restraining orders on her for attaking me and injuring me. I have 2 sets, one is in city court and one for divorce. My attorney has sent her my requests and that the court give custody temp to me for now. Her lawyer requested me give her the car so I did and had to buy another for me.
Now she is contesting with give me money to get started because she never worked. After all shes done to me, attaking me, cheating, will they say I have to pay her money?

    How long were you married?

Depending on how long you were married, yes, she may well be awarded alimony.

We were married for 13 yrs. But she also had drinking problem, assulted me/stabbed me, and has restraining orders on her. So if I would have to pay her alimony then the court awards me child support what happens then?

Then you pay the alimony you're ordered to pay, and she pays the child support she's ordered to pay.

There's no "Oh, they cancel each other out, so don't bother" option, here, and the restraining orders are irrelevant.

It just seems that the court systems are a joke to me. The only thing is the alimony has a end and the child support never stops, unless she doesnt pay it.

Child support stops when the children are 18, unless there is an agreement for it to continue while they are in college.
