My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: California, the company I worked for has laid off many workers in the past 2 months and many have been asked to come back on a part time basis, lower pay and no benefits but near 40 hr work week. Does this violate any fair practice or other labor law, also will not accepting part time status with no benefits etc. or implied amount of hrs. make a person inelgible for U I benefits.
