Unhappy Traffic Infraction for Public Urination

My question involves traffic court in the State of: California

My 20-year-old daughter got a ticket (infraction--PC370) because she pulled over on a remote strip of I-5 to urinate. She was on her way from Oregon to Southern California to see her uncle who was critically ill in the ICU. She drank three energy drinks and a large coffee to stay awake on the long drive and nature called at an inconvenient time. She opened both car doors and concealed her private areas completely. A CHP issued the citation and gave her a severe reprimand. She is ordered to appear in Los Banos, CA next week. What can she expect in court? Should she plead "Guilty, with an explanation"?

    That's a misdemeanor charge.
Quote Quoting California Penal Code, Sec. 370 - Public Nuisance
Any thing which is injurious to health, or is indecent, or offensive to the senses, or an obstruction to the free use of property, so as to interfere with the comfortable enjoyment of life or property by an entire community or neighborhood, or by any considerable number of persons, or unlawfully obstructs the free passage or use, in the customary manner, of any navigable lake, or river, bay, stream, canal, or basin, or any public park, square, street, or highway, is a public nuisance
I would try to get a conditional dismissal, reduction to an infraction, or some other disposition that doesn't result in a criminal conviction. Simply pleading guilty will result in a conviction.
