My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
Hi! I was out camping last week and I received a ticket for posession of alcohol in state park. I was with few other friends and we had some beer with us. The park was saying alcohol prohibited everywhere. We went in this picnic area not to disturb anybody we fired a bbq. Anyway we did not make any problem at all. When the rangers came I was the only one that couldn't put his beer away. They made us throw away the remaining beer and I was the only one that got cited.
My question is what will happen if I simply don't pay the ticket? And will this get in my criminal record even if I pay it?
I live in Illinois by the way and I really don't have anything to do in Michigan.
