Default Getting Back My Green Card

I am based in the UK. After 3 years of applying, we finally got our residency status for the US in 1989, my mum sucessfully got our Green Card and Social Security number at the US Embassy in London....it was such an exciting period...for me and my brother.. my mother was sponsored by grandmother who is still alive at 93...my mum is 62 and still working.

We went to the US in the summer of 1989 and I recieved ante-natal care. But I came back after 6 weeks, to reconcile some situations. However, in 1990 my mum said to us in 1990 she was sending back our Green cards...so we drove to the US embassy, my mum walked in and she popped in took our cards....walked out again...and that was the end of that....I didn't know what to say, my grandmother was upset about it.

I was upset and only now I'm thinking I would like the experience of living in the states.

My health is still fine and I have no criminal convictions. I am now 40 and have a son who is nearly 20 and about to go to University. I also have 3 more minors 4, 2 and 9 months. I work as well, I might be gettng married in the next 2 years.

What chance do I have of getting my Green Card back nearly 20 years later

Once your Green Card is surrendered, you have to begin the application process all over again, from scratch.

It appears your only option for this would be immigration through employment.
