I am in the middle of an interstate nightmare. I moved to a new state in July and I promptly applied for benefits. Since I have SSI, it should not have been difficult. Apparently, my old state did not cancel me, even though I contacted the office and my worker contacted the state and asked for it to happen. The new state does not take my phone calls. I sent in the appeal, but I am worried that I will not be able to get my medications filled in the mean time. I am also worried that my medical bills will not get taken care of. I have hit an issue with the system and I don't know how to deal with it.
