Default Dismissed DV Charges and Gun Ownership

My question involves criminal law for the state of: IOWA

I was arrested for dv in iowa, a disgruntled girlfriend just wanted me to move out. so she left in the night and told police I assaulted her, not true. I was arrest and ordered by a judge to move out. I was told by the judge to call the local police dept each time I went to the residence to remove my belongings, which I did, the woman was never at the residence durng this time. two days later I was arrested for burglary, while at the house. I went before the judge again and things got straightened out, but when I was moving out I tore down a utility shed in the yard, which was mine, and took it with me, I also removed a basket ball hoop from the garage roof which left holes in the roof, the courts had me over a barre,l so I plead guilty to misdemeanor criminal mischief for damage to property over $200 but no more than $500. My question is this: I have bought several guns since this time, I have also been issued a professional permit to carry for my job. Is there anything here that would appear to raise questions about gun ownership

You have arrests for the DV, burglary and mischief charges, but your only conviction is for the criminal mischief misdemeanor? Otherwise your record is 100% spotless?

Then why do you think you're under a legal impediment to gun ownership?

I don't think I am. I read in an Iowa gun law paragraph that with any DV arrest, if it is plead down, it is still considered a misdemeanor crime of domestic assault. Maybe I misread it . like I said I have bought several guns since this occurred in 1993, I have always been approved by the instant background checks, I was just wondering about what I read, Thanks

If you went thru backround check to get the guns you should be ok. You dv charge was dismissed,it wasn't plead down to something else.

the dv charge and the burgarly occurred on two different days, the criminal mischief was plead down as a result of the burglary, My record however, shows an original arrest for DV and and a disposition of guilty to crinminal mischief 4th degree. No mention of a felony burglary.
