I recently sold a home on 2 acres of land in a rural area. While I was living there I gave my neighbor access to a portion of the property alongside the driveway. I did this as a "neighborly accommadation" since it was of no use to me. It is my understanding that this permission ended when I sold the property and that my former neighbor would have to receive permission from the new owner to continue the use of the property.
My problem is I'm not sure if my former neighbor understands this. I was going to contact him to advise him of this but have now decided to get some legal advice from a lawyer.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
