    Default Can Living Out of State Affect California Unemployment Claim

    My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: California.

    I am a resident of California with a home in Los Angeles. I filed for unemployment using my LA address, but have since moved to Oregon to look for work there and changed the address on my unemployment claim.

    My question is... have I made myself ineligible for benefits and/or extensions by moving out of California?

    You shouldn't have, as long as you continue to search for jobs as required. They may question WHY you moved.
