    Default Emancipation of a minor

    i am 20 and my girlfriend is 16 she lives in ohio and wants to be emancipated to come and live with so we can get married her parents are against the marriage and will not sign consent

    Under Ohio law your girlfriend needs her parents permission to marry. Ohio has no emancipation statute, but recognizes emancipation as a result of lawful marriage or active duty military service.
