    Default Dirty Driveway

I am in Alaska and living in a large apartment complex which has a communal parking lot in the front and assigned parking in the back. My daughter's car has been parked in the front (shared) lot in the same spot for some time and it is assumed that the oil spot underneath, was from her car. Every space in the lot has a fair degree of fluid spots of some sort, but the landlord is asking me to clean this spot in particular. I did put some kitty litter down to help with the bulk of it, but I don't have access to a hose or any other tools I might need for this task.
Is it even appropriate for her to ask me to do this without holding every other tenant responsible for the spots that come from their vehicles? It just seems rather petty to me.

She's finding your particular space a little bothersome, and has asked you to attend to it. It's not inappropriate, and it's easily remedied - even if it's apparently bad enough to require kitty litter to soak things up. You don't need hoses or brushes, just dump a little product similar to this one on it, and the problem is solved.

Again though, this is in the shared area of the lot and the stain is ASSUMED to be from my daughter's car (I have since moved the car and there is no puddle forming underneath it). If I knew it were all from hers or I had stuff to clean it, I would (even if it weren't hers, just because I am actually a nice person that is willing to help), but what I don't want is to be expected to spend my own hard earned money to clean up other people's messes without everyone else doing the same. More than one spot in the complex could use some litter and I just feel like I'm being singled out.
Thank you for the product recommendation, though. It sounds awesome. I am eager to find out if it is available in AK.
