Default Traveling through Canada with a felony conviction

I was convicted of a felony in early 2005. I have served my time & am off probation, and I'd like to visit a friend currently living in Alaska. I know that I can't legally enter Canada with a felony record, but can I fly through Canadian airspace? I'd like to make sure before I commit to the airlie ticket. Thanks!

Does the plane land in Canada? If not, a direct flight shouldn't be a problem.
