My question involves a background check in the State of Illinois.
I was arrested for shoplifting when I was 16 (a misdemeanor). I wasn't convicted, there were no charges against me, and I never had to go to court. However, the police did take my fingerprints and my picture.
I've now applied for a job at an electronics store, successfully passed all three interviews and was offered the job. However, me getting the job is contingent upon passing the background check, which will happen over the next two or three days. I need to know if the arrest will show up in the background check.
