Getting Emancipated

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of New York
I reI Recently turned 16 and my dad doesn't let me do anything for example I can't go to friends houses, or to the mall or any where. I stay in this house all day except for going to school and work. My mom she let's me do things when I ask her but the moment he hears it he shut her down like she can't have a say in what I can and can't do it's like she invisible. I also started working and when the send income tax he just keeps it for himslef doesn't give us a cent. My mom doesn't get a penny out of it. My W4 form the money I makes he keeps. So. can I get Emanicipated from him?

Unless you are ALREADY living independently from your parents, NY will not consider emancipation.

Emancipation isn't a way out from under parental control - it's a tool for minors who have no choice but to support themselves. If you've got a roof over your head, food, and clothes that someone else is paying for, emancipation isn't an option.
