My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Michigan

I was hired at a healthcare practice in June and then found out I was pregnant. When I told the doctor, he was very mad and vocal about it. On August 4th I was let go because they said they needed to hire a manager/biller full time and couldn't afford to keep both of us.

I later found out that the person they hired holds the same job title and responsibilities as me. Is this illegal? Should I pursue a wrongful termination suit?
