    Default Probation revocation

Hey guys. I'm new here. My girlfriend got sentenced to 5 years probation about 3 years ago for possession of marijuana w/ intent to distribute. They also charged her with writing bad checks. So she got two different probation officers. Last August, one of her probation officer's got activated in the military and had to leave to go to Iraq. She was assigned a new one, but never went to see her. She never even met her. Back in November, she was arrested for a DUI and pled guilty in February. Now, her former employer accused her of stealing money (the one thing she DIDN'T do), but she got locked up for it for suspicion and cannot get out of jail until her probation revocation hearing. I called her probation officer to find out what's up and she says that she's getting her probation revoked because of failure to report since August, and the DUI, and now, the theft by taking. Her other probation officer can testify that she's been coming to see him and even paid off her probation for him. Is there any hope for her? or should I expect her to be in jail for 2 more years?! I'm trying to get a lawyer for her, but having a hard time coming up with the money...

Default Failure to See Probation Officer

If she stopped going to her required probation meetings after the change of officer, it is perfectly understandable that she is subject to a probation violation hearing. Similarly, given she committed the crime of DUI while on probation, it is no suprise that she is subject to probation violation proceedings. What else would she expect?

She will likely qualify for a court-appointed lawyer.

What can a lawyer do about this though?
