My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Nevada
My brother is currently up to his neck in credit card debit and receives Social Security and Medicaid. I am trying to protect him from creditors and will be setting up his SSDI payment into the new Debit cards issued by Social Security and closing his bank accounts. The new debit card payment system by Social Security will be only SSDI and are protected. My question is will Legal Aid help him with the lawsuit process? Since his Social Security is protected, when should he be concerned about the lawsuit process? Is it the discovery process that if you do not answer a bench warrant will be issued? Other than the discovery process, does he really need to answer lawsuit paperwork? When the lawsuit gets started, should I just write letter to lawyer and tell them that brother is judgement proof?
