Default DWI Charges not filed yet, months after the incident

    CT

My friends attorney has requested that he show up at his office in April so that they may go to the police station for them to process the warrant.

Is this normal procedure for the state of CT or for it to be so long after the incident?

Default Delay in Prosecuting Drunk Driving

It's unusual for charges to take that long to proceed, but it's not impermissible.

Default DWI Charges - 7 months after the incident

Isn't there something about 2 sessions of the grand jury have already convened...therefore, they can't bring charges against him?

What is the statue of limitations for a DWI in the State of CT? Does that apply for a warrant to be served? Exactly how does that work?
