Angry File a Lawsuit Against the State of Texas for Violation of Constitutional Rights

    Texas

I have a question. I would like to file a lawsuit against the state of Texas. There is thing called 'Texas Driver's Responsibility Act', where Texas drivers are being made to pay 4 times the ticket. once in the city, they violated traffic law and then 2-3 monthly paymentms, usually adding up to more than 1000 dollars for one offense. This is double jeopardy, no matter how it is being looked at and from angle it's been looked at. This is against US constitution and against the Federal law. no one should be punished twice (in this case 4 times) for the same offense.

I would like to know, how to proceed within filing lawsuit against Texas and make them payback everyone their money.

Look up this law in a law library and see if there is any case law on it.

To be in the know I looked it up:

    http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/adminis...ol/drp/drp.htm

This appears to be a case of a basic "sentence ehancement"/administrative penalties".

These generally do NOT violate the Ex post facto clause, or as you insist, the DJ clauses, of either the federal or Texas constitution.

If it did happen to you though, you have no what is known as "Standing" to file suit.
