    Default Property Dispute

We own property in NC on a small soiled or gravel road with very few people living on it. There has never been an easement down this road. Two easements have now pop-ed up in the last year.

Our problem started when we put our property up for sale. Our signs started mysteriously coming down. Before we placed the property on the market everything seem fine. We are now being harassed by these neighbor's which are kin to each other.

We had ours surveyed by a surveyor whose been doing it for Many years. Our property line crosses the road in places and in other runs down the middle of the road. There is a column with a small fence built on our property. There is a person that has what we consider make threatening comments with care, Like she told my wife and I when we come out there we better have a gun. When I asked her why, she paused and said oh you know the rabid animals.

One day she told me, my wife and real estate agent we had to leave because she was leaving and was going to lock the gate which is half or better on our property. Another day I was marking one of our corners and lets call her she came up raising cane and I ask her to please stop harassing my wife and I, real estate people and potential buyers which she came on our property to do. "She" her comment to me was she could do or say anything she wanted because they would believe her before me because she was a girl. Me being by myself with no wittiness I immediately called the law. As soon as I call the law she called lets call him be daddy which rushed down an got out of his truck and began hollering and telling me I started all this and wasn't nothing but a property thief and we didn't deserve this because we inherited it. He worked hard for his land (Wrong he inherited his). make a long story short the law didn't do much But tell me to stay on my own property and said they told them the same. We have always stayed on our property according to an old regitered deed and plat, plus now our new one. The problem is their deed on one line doesn't fit with ours , duly noted by our surveyor. As far back as we could research their deed is about 40 years and not done by an attorney just written up and notarized. (With no Survey)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Help with what? A mysterious person taking down your "for sale" sign? Help you get along with your (hopefully soon to be former) neighbors?
