My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan, Jackson.
The other day me and four friends got caught shop lifting around 120 dollars worth of stuff. It was 2 guys and 2 girls and we walked out the store and they stopped us all and only took the girls back. Now the girls had everything in their purse and we had nothing. So me and the other guy are just like...what do we do, we didn't have a clue so we just sat on a bench outside meijers clueless. Next thing we know the parents of the girls show up and go into the room where they took the girls and when they come out they say to my friend they want you in the back room, so he goes. So I'm stuck there alone waiting for a while and next thing you know they come out and tell me you need to go see (ill call him Joe) Joe out at the car, so i'm like okay...so i get there and there is a cop, (apparently the parent of one of the girls told the cop that "Joe's" license plate had been stolen. So they run the plates and its not stolen its just an improper license plate, he also doesn't have insurance or registration, and he doesn't have his license on him. So the cops are busy talking to him and giving him tickets while the meijer people talk to me outside asking me what happened for a minute, called my mom for me and she picked me up. Now everybody else got a ticket from the cop for retail fraud, (Joe got a few extra) except me. And everybody's parents were talked to, except for me. Now I know the other people gave them my information so I know they know who i am and probably where I live. But what is going to happen to me? Am i going to get something mailed to me? Am i going to get in trouble at all? I am just confused and i need help. I'm a minor by the way.
