Default Can Your Parents Sign A Document Emancipating You

"if both parents are in agreement, a typed document can be drawn up and the emancipated party can sign and date it.."

I read that this is possible in New York, is it true and can it be done in New Jersey as well?

If so, what does it intail? Would the conditions be set by the parents and minor rather than courts? It wouldn't be a legal emancipation and the "cord wouldn't be fully cut" so to speak, but is it possible?

Where did you get that quote from? I have not seen that anywhere.
