Okay to make my question vague as the first person to answer my post says i should. . . is it possible to be hired at another store after retail theft. My case was dismissed so is it still on my records? And how am I able to get rid of it?

stores should ask if you have ever been convicted of a crime... your case was dismissed so your answer is no... there is an arrest record but it is not accessible by employers... you should be fine
There is a national retail data base that contains "applicants" with records of theft…most of whom cannot be found in standard public records because they were never prosecuted. The stores report the theft to it. It contains exclusive information shared only between member stores.
If the prospective employer is a member & does a check of this data base, your record should show up on this background check if the store you shoplifted from is a member & reported the theft.
IF target Civil Demanded you more then likely you are on a theft data base such as choicepoint that many retail stores use for background screening.
