    Unhappy Breaking and Entering

Ok I'm fairly new at this and I need some help asap. Well my boyfriend who's 18
was recently kicked out of his parents house, and his mother wouldn't let him take his things. He waited 2 days and got two of his friends and there mother to go over to his parents house and get his things back. The grandmother was there and had let him come in and get his things. Now its been 3 days and he called to get some of his mail that was still at the house, and his father had picked up and told him that his mother had placed charges on him for breaking and entering and stealing when the things where his to begin with. He is currently staying at a friends house, he has no money and no lawyer. What can he do now to avoid going to jail? Can his mother even do this because his grandmother had let him in? What can we do?

He'll have to wait and see what happens. If in fact criminal charges have been filed, he can request a court-appointed lawyer.
