Default CFO Makes Rude Remarks - Pennsylvania

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of:

On Monday, I had an unfortunate blow out with my boss and basically walked out. I left because I did not want to deal with retailation and just had basically enough of the working conditions. This CFO has her favorites and if you do not agree with her, she will make your life hell. And since, I was not one of her bobble heads, I was automatically out. I worked for her a total of 9 years and has I stated just had enough. Of coarse she painted the picture that I was disgruntled and if she finds out that anyone has spoken to me they would be next. Such a classy lady.

However, this person (CFO) makes several different slars regarding religion, race and politics. Here is just an example

That the President of this organization will not consider putting her on the board because she is not a Jew. He only wants to deal with his own kind.

Religion: On Ash Wednesday, she calls me and asks me where two ee's were and I said I do not know, her reply back was oh I know where they went,to get those god dam ash marks. I said thats not nice, her reply back was please do not tell me you are walking around with that sh** on your face. I said no, good because you know that religion is a cult.

Politics: Before election day, she said oh please get off the Obama ban wagon, this man does not know his a** from awhole in the ground.

Believe me I can go on and on, however, I feel terrible even typing this comments out. The President of the company he does not do anything about this behavior. I mean she will belittle you in front of coworkers or vendors in a second. She simply has a BIG Mouth and directs people in fear.

I was wondering does her comments mean nothing because thats just her?

    Thank you in advance.

    Stephanie

It's not illegal for company executives to be jackasses. It's not illegal for them to express disagreement with your political preferences, be snarky about your religion, or just generally be jerk-ariffic - right up until she penalizes you for your religion.

By penalize, I mean write you up, demote you, or fire you.

Thank you for your quick response.

We all end up with at least one at some point in our lives.

I've been through a bunch, but the three I have now are all terrific. Look at this as a learning experience. Much luck in your new endeavors.

It seems per your post you quit your job (walked out). Generally, you do not get unemployment ins. if you quit your job. However, it never hurts to apply - just tell the truth & the state will decide if you will receive benefits or not.

    Good luck to you.
