I am in california.
I have a questions regarding separation release I sigh when I was lay-off. It said "I agree not to disparage the company or to do anyting that protrays the company, it product.... in a negative light that might injur the company.
Does this mean that I can't do this for ever??? Or does it only mean I cannot make negative remarks on events or maters related to while I was an employee at the company. For example if they company or its officer did something out of line now (after I am lay off) can I negatively comment on it.
Another example is that my former employer is demanding I into the company in to sign some patent paperwork, and said I was obligated to do so and if I do not have their attonery call me to inform me of the consequences. Would this be a violation of my spearation release if I report them to the formers employer's unbutsemens department.
