    Default Can a College Student Get Emancipated

    My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Indiana

    I am a college student and my parents been divorce for 6 years. I have recieved some medical problems from my younger years and I am covered with insurance through my mother but I live with my father. I am wanting to get my own place. so my question is, can my father emancipat me if I am still attending college?

    Indiana has no statutory provisions for emancipation of a minor.

    As a college student, however, you're likely 18 or older, so this would be moot. You are emancipated at the age of 18.
