Exclamation Can a Teacher Substitute While Collecting Unemployment Benifits

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: California

I am a laid off teacher in California. I have been collecting unemployment benefits since the end of the school year. My former employer has offered me a substitute teaching job for the first 3 months of school while another teacher is out for pregnancy leave. By excepting this position will I still be able to keep my unemployment benefits’ claim open by stating that I am working "Part-time" or is a long term substitute position like this considered "Full-time"? Also if I turn down this job offer does it make me ineligible for benefits since I turned down employment even though it isn't technically what I consider a "full-time" position? Quick responses to this post are greatly appreciated as the position starts this coming Monday. Thank you in advance.

Default Re: Can a Teacher Substitute While Collecting Unemployment Benifits

If you turn it down, you very well may be determined ineligible for continuing benefits and would have to re-qualify with a new claim after this 3-month period is over.

States treat temporary periods of work within a claim year differently. In my state, the claim remains open, just inactive, and you can either choose to not make a continuing claim for a particular week by giving the reason or make a partial claim by reporting the wages earned in that week. I don't know about California.
