    Default Right to a Refund

    Hello,
I ordered a ticket for an event in Minneapolis. Nowhere on the advertisement or on the ordering page did it say "No Refunds". Am I entitled to a refund? One thing that may make a difference is that I found out after I ordered that I wouldn't be receiving a physical ticket, but that my space would be "reserved".
    Thanks a lot,
    Mike

I asked where the ticket vendor was based. Did you buy directly from the venue in Minnesota?

Problem #1 would be that you would probably have to pursue your legal action in Minnesota.

Problem #2 is that most states leave refund policies to the discretion of a vendor - that is, if you buy something that is not defective, you don't normally have any right to return it. You can look at Minnesota's statutes, and consumer protection laws - they have a refund law in relation to motor vehicle lemon law, but don't otherwise seem to grant any special refund rights. (You may wish to explore more fully; I don't claim to have made more than a cursory review of the statutes.)
