Default Who Pays For Missed Work?

Okay so this guys hurts himself at work. They opt to self insure themselves. He is being treated (I.e. physical therapy or scheduled MRI's). The company is making him go to appointments on his own time and if the visit can't be scheduled after hours he has to take vacation/sick days. Is this legal and/or right?

Default Missed work from work-related injury - lost wages

Many states have a minimum threshold for how much work must be missed before workers' compensation will cover wage loss claims. If your friend believes his rights are being violated, he should be able to get clarification from the Kentucky Department of Labor.
