Default Can a Low Income U.S. Citizen Sponsor a Parent with an I-130

    Hi,

Seeking LEgal Advice for the state of California

I am a low income single mother from california and I want to immigrate my mother who has been in the United States for 20 plus years. She is fearful to get deported if I apply now, since I am not financially stable. I was also wondering if she could apply for the visa that grants citizenship based on domestic abuse by a US citizen. She has a social security number and is able to get an CA-ID would that information help her ease the transition from being illegal to obtaining a green card?

    Thank you,

    mnh2286

You're stating she's married to a U.S. citizen and her spouse engaged in domestic violence?

Did she enter the country legally?

Do you have a cosponsor with sufficient assets to satisfy the requirements for sponsorship?
