My question involves divorce in the State of: OHIO
Wife and I separated 9 or so weeks ago. I agreed (verbally) to give her an amount of money until we were able to go to court. I had hoped on working things through with her and being able to file for a dissolution....but we are worlds apart on spousal support. My question is this, now that I have to actually pay for an attorney, I can't afford to give her the same amount of money I have been giving her.....should I stop? Will this reflect poorly on me in court? We have one child, and I would still make sure I was paying her enough to cover the "estimated" child support from the child support calculator....but nothing more until she files for temporary support (which she would do very quickly)...but in the mean time I'd have a month or so that I'd have some money to help with my attorney fees. Just looking to find out how this would look in court.
Thanks
