My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: Ontario

I have read posts about canadians concerned about american warrants but I have the opposite problem that I cannot seem to find an answer for.

Last winter I was involved in a bitter divorce here in Michigan. My wife's friends who live in Ontario,Canada decided to become involved in the battle. One night I had to much to drink and left some foolish threatening voice mail messages on their answering machine. As I was pretty drunk, I cannot recall exactly what I said but apparanly they were pretty bad. Seeing their chance to hurt me,they called the police and then told me I had an arrest warrant in Ontario.

I have called numerous agencies in both the U.S. and canada and none will tell me if I actually do have a warrant. They tell me that I must drive to Canada and turn myself in. Well as much as I would love to get everything taken care of I cannot afford to go to jail. I would lose my job and possibly my child whom I have full custody of.

My question is,if there is indeed a warrant, will it show up in any american databases and also will a canadian Warrant prevent me from purchasing a gun (Only for hunting reasons) in the U.S. I have no other warrants or convictions of any type to my knowledge.
