    Default Warrants in Arizona

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arizona
    This is my situation:
When i lived in Arizona, I was with someone that was accused of shoplifting. She was cited for this and they cited me as well claiming that i was guilty because i was with her and that i knew and most likely assisted her in taking the can of coffee and carton of juice from a wal-mart marketplace. Mine was dismissed in court and I moved out of AZ (WHOOOO HOOO!!!) shortly after. Her's was dismissed as well. Then my friend calls me months later and tells me that out of the blue two police officers came to her door trying to serve her 2 more citations for shoplifting from this same store on different dates claiming that wal-mart went through video's and (this is no joke) thinks that they see 2 girls that look like us and therefore are claiming to be us not ringing some groceries up at the self check out registers at the wal mart marketplace and that wal mart marketplace insists on prosecuting. They also asked if she knew where they could reach me, but she told them that i moved to NY and she said they just snickered. She refused to sign the citations. The police literally HARASSED her as if she was and escaped serial killer. She stayed with a friend but her neighbors told her that they were coming to her house at all hours of the day and night and even looking into her windows. That is sooo sick and a disgrace to REAL police officers. Anyway, I just decided to look online and found that 2 citations have been issued to her and myself and they have arrest warrants. I don't even live there, they never contacted me, this is such a vicious attack and a disgusting disgrace to law enforcement. Then again, this is Arizona and the law enforcement is a complete joke there obviously. I don't plan on ever going back to that miserable place but i still don't and I don't think its fair that i would have to hire a lawyer and fight this. My main questions is: will/when does this ridiculous arrest warrant for shoplifting go away or expire? How will I know? Is there a way for me to view the police report, I sure would love to see that? Which avenue should I pursue to resolve this? Thanks so much, I appreciate all replies

The warrant is never gonna expire. It's gonna be a pain the best way to handle this is to just bit the bullet and hire a lawyer, then put it behind you. The warrant can prevent you from getting a job, aid, job etc, when places run a background check. If you get pulled over for even a traffic violation the cops are gonna see this and that's gonna be another problem.

If it wasn't you in the video,a lawyer can request the tape thru discovery I think and they probably can get the case thrown out and you can put this while mess behind you.
