    Default Trespassing charge

My neighbor filed a trespassing charge against her ex-husband, but has now decided to drop it. Will she be in contempt of court if she just doesn't show up in court on the day that it is to go before the judge or will the charge be dismissed because of her failure to show?

    Default Failure to Appear

If she does not appear in court, it is likely that the charge will be dismissed.

Whether or not there would be an effort to issue a bench warrant for her or to hold her in contempt will depend upon the local policies, the prosecutor, judge, and surrounding facts - I can't really guess.
