My question involves criminal law for the state of: ny
I am 22 years old i have two kids and I just got notified that i was being arressted for VOP for failure to report and failure to appear. Now i have went to court for this matter and the judge said the major probelm is the failure to pay restitution. His exact words were you need to pay your restitution and you need to follow the guidlines of probation or you are facing some jail time. My probation officer was not at the hearing so they adjouirned it to next week. My restitution is 2,225 dollars i ahve payed one hundred of those dollars as i have been suffering from a condition that has not allowed me to work and i was unable to pay the restitution. I am not medicated for my problem and i have made another two hundrded dollar payment is it possible they will extend my probation sentence i have been on three years and i am almost done. What can i expect when i go back to court i have went and talked to my probation officer and he said to gather as much money as possible before the next court date. what is going to happen to me I live in new york state central new york state. I wasnt failing to appear either my probation officer had been coming to my house and i would go down there and he wouldn tbe in and he told me when i went down there to sign a piece of paper saying i was there but the lady at the desk wouldnt let me sign it
