My question involves civil rights in the State of:
One of the managers within our company has had falsely been accused for sexual harassment. She was a previous tenant that was evicted because she did not pay, period. She was taken to court and evicted. She then decided to go to the civil rights commision and file a complaint that she was sexually harassed. Just to give you a heads up she is a african american. She also told her doctor, her best friend, and found another previous tenant that lived there and got her involved as well. the previous tenant was evicted for non-payment. She actually came back the following nights and flooded the basement. We have no direct proof that it was her, but we are not stupid. A police report was filed and added to our evidence for this case. the previous tenant also said she was harassed during a certain month when my manager wasn't even in town. There is no evidence on there behalf and it is all from testimony of her friend and a previous tenant.
My manager has collected a number of single black female tenants that have lived in some of the properties and they have all said only great things about him.
the tenant who filed these claims said that while she was being evicted the manager was harassing her. The only time he came to her house was when the bailiff told him to go check if she was still there. she said he sexually harassed her, that never happened there is even a witness and he was in the managers car.
none the less there are some smaller details which i will soon address if someone can give me a head up on whats to be expected.
they civil rights commision sent a letter back saying that our witnesses and other tenants were not enough to drop this case.
We hired a lawyer and he is currently working on our case. What are we supposed to do against people like this? She is one of those people who goes around looking for people to sue and wants money out of this. If this bitch can lie to the civil rights commision, than why cant i just go ahead and file charges against her?
ill post more questions and info as this progresses.
any comments or help will be appreciated.
