My question involves criminal law for the state of: TEXAS
I worked for the USPS and in 2006 they said I stole something from the mail in 2005. Lets be clear I did not take anything. Well I went through all the union bs and lost my job anyway (the union used me as a bargining tool on another case) Well I hadnt heard about anything in almost 3 years going about my business etc. Well now I am getting my teaching certification. I have not been charged or arrested etc however I got a letter from the federal court two days ago saying im elgible for pretrial diversion. If I take the pretrial diversion (because I cant afford 10 to 20K to defend myself) will it show up on a criminal background check for a teacher? I have read the other posts but I still have not been charged or arrested etc., and apparently in federal court I dont have to be charged to be offered a pretrial diversion. So if I am not charged but take the pretrial diversion to get this over and done with will it come up on my criminal background check? State of TEXAS
