We live in Ontario.
My husband was on his way home, leaving a town and just entering a 80km/hr. He noticed a car on his right hand side at the end of a driveway. She had stopped to check traffic. As he approached she suddenly started moving into his lane trying to make a left turn. He hit the breaks and tried to stir around her but she stopped in the middle of both lanes and he impacted into the middle of the car.
He was stunt and in chock. He got out of the car and called 911. The passenger in the other car was o.k., the driver was bleeding from the face. She was very young we estimate 18-20 years old.
When the police showed up they asked about what had happened and started measuring and taking pictures.
My husband started talking to one police officer that was on the sidelines waiting in his car. He asked my husband some questions and then continued to tell him that if he was speeding he would be charged with careless driving.
The girl drove into traffic and he could get charged, he was not speeding. COULD THIS REALLY HAPPEN !
