My question involves criminal law for the state of: Connecticut

I was charged with Criminal Trespass 2nd degree and interfering with a police officer at a bar the other night. I was drinking, and drunk, but not belligerent.

It was last call, and we were told to leave. We were slowly moving out and the officers were shoving us from behind because we were not moving fast enough (we could not go too fast because of the bottleneck by the door). A friend of mine told the cop "not to touch a girl like that" and she was cuffed, as was I. I did not say a word to the cops, and they took me down hard scraping my face, shoulder, hand and head. We all sustained injuries.

What should we do? I was considering speaking with a lawyer tomorrow because I feel excessive force was used, especially since I didn't say anything, was leaving the bar (I was actually tackled outside of the bar), and did not touch my friend who was being arrested or the arresting officers.

Thanks in advance.
